FAN THE FLAME
Is an opportunity for Teaching and Spiritual Renewal
AIMS:
to ‘fan the flame' of faith of existing members of the congregation and to encourage them to explore the implications of the Christian faith for their own future life and ministry
to give sound teaching on Christian ‘basics'
to provide an opportunity for members of the congregation to invite friends or ‘fringe' members to the evening presentations
to better equip the saints for evangelisation
to lead to appropriate changes to the life of the parish community and the setting of realistic goals for the future
To achieve these aims Fan the Flame uses the following…..
PROCESS:
Preparation time of a minimum 10-12 weeks
Five evenings of teaching and ministry
Follow up opportunities to explore three key areas of reflection as outlined above and to encourage suggestions for change and growth.‘
Meetings of the PCC to reflect prayerfully on the follow up process and decide on an agenda for action
Initiate a working party to follow though decisions
